OVERVIEW

Six Feet Supplies is a student-led non-profit that provides an online platform for at-risk individuals to request grocery delivery, all at zero cost. My web app has had over 15,000 visitors, thus leading to over 500 deliveries, spanning over $50,000 worth of groceries delivered.

In addition to designing & developing the website, I served on the director board that oversaw expansion and operation.

Providing at a time of need

THE PROBLEM

COVID-19 has left the immunocompromised disproportionately devoid of access to basic necessities, as they are forced to isolate in their homes.

As a result, residents in our home town, Santa Clarita, that are older or have underlying health conditions lacked the ability to retrieve groceries, personal protective equipment.

THE SOLUTION

Powered by a group of diligent, activated young leaders, our team at Six Feet Supplies created a reliable system for at-risk individuals to rely on in times of need, delivering groceries and other supplies per their request.

We have 3 different services to account for the different needs of customers, providing delivery in groceries, items in limited supply (i.e dairy items, meat), and emergency supplies.

Following our success in Santa Clarita, we expanded to 14 other cities around California.

Designing the website + wireframes

To design the website UIUX, I created wireframes on Figma, where other members on the director board added input to my designs and to the user journey. Given the urgency at the beginning of the pandemic, I later put my designs into Wix, in order to create the web platform as quickly as possible.

Marketing materials

Using Adobe Photoshop, I developed graphics that were used to develop the brand identity across all social media platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook.

What I've learned

1. Continuously survey consumers about the user journey.

2. Don't be afraid to speak up during the design process.
